本体価格：¥ 9,000-　　 ＜古伊万里 染付け 手水鉢・柄杓・鳥文 蕎麦猪口＞ 時代：江戸後期～幕末期、文政～万延年間、1820 -1860年代 状態：内側壁面にピンホールが数カ所と薄い米粒大の呉須が付いています。同様に胴（表側）にも、余分の呉須が点となって付着しています。これは鳥の絵柄の下側 と万年青（おもと）の左側に見られます。ピンホールが胴にも数カ所あり、万年青の左下に一つ釉ヌケがあります。高台内側に若干バリがありますが、ホツやニューなどはなく座りも安定しています。 サイズ：口径：8.0cm　底径 6.3cm　高さ：6.6cm 手水鉢・柄杓文の蕎麦猪口です。手水鉢 (ちょうずばち) と柄杓 (ひしゃく) は言うまでもなく手洗い、或は「お清め」のものです。手前にあるのは万年青 (おもと) でしょうか。万年青は夏に花茎を出し穂状に緑黄色の細花をつけ、その後秋頃に赤い液果を結ぶそうです。万年青の裏側には鳥が飛んでいます。鳥は万年青の実を好んで食べるそうですから、万年青の実を狙っているのでしょうか。稲束文に付随して描かれる雀のような存在かもしれません。見込みは岩波文で、この蕎麦猪口が焼かれた頃には、見込み文の簡略化がかなり進んでおり、岩波の水しぶきが見られず岩だけになっています。 177 Basin, Dipper, Bird & Plant Design Sobachoko, Koimari Sometsuke Period: Early to Mid19th Century, Edo Period Condition: A few thin Gosu pigments spots are attached on the inside wall, and a lot of extra pigments as tiny dots are attached to the outside body as well. They are seen under the bird and left side of the plant. There are a few pinholes on the inside wall and outside. There is a small glaze-missed spot under the plant on the left side. A little bit of left-over clay remained on the Kohdai platform, but it sits well. No cracks or no chips. Dia.: 8.0cm (top), 6.3cm (bot.) Hgt.: 6.6cm This is a "Basin, Dipper and Bird" depicted Sobachoko. Basin and dipper are, needless to say, for handwashing or purification. Is the plant this side Omoto, or Japanese Rhodea? Omoto puts out flowering stem in summer, and small yellow-green flowers bloom as an ear. Then, in autumn reddish fruits are formed. They say that birds are fond of Omoto berry. So, is the bird on the other side, of the Sobachoko, aiming at the berry? The bird might be like a sparrow in the case of Inataba-mon Sobachoko, or a rice-plant sheaf design Sobachoko. The Mikomi mark is "Iwanami", or rocks and water-splash.
